We also get nice arcs out of both Meg, as she comes to terms with her relationship with her sisters and her place in the House and with Zag, and Zag, as he matures and respects Meg for who she is and what she's about, though again, if you go the romance route with her or not, you get the same arcs, so I guess you could argue it's rather pointless. Their companionship beyond that could work whether they were getting it on or not. It's a physical relationship first and foremost. Again, the romance side of that relationship is a bit lacking, but that's kinda the whole point, IMO. The guy has little to no arc and is pretty much the same character in the end as he was in the beginning. Not much in the way of chemistry there generally. The guy bores me as a character, so it was hard to see what Zag saw in him and vice versa. Some more stuff early on playing that up would've helped and made the end of the arc a bit more bittersweet, but still satisfying. I can kinda see where they were coming from, her being one of the sole members of the House that isn't a gloomy emo child, but it felt a bit. That being said, Zag's side of the affection was a bit lacking development-wise. It was fun to see her grow as a character throughout the romance story.
